Since a year back I’ve been working on The Pearl Of Africa which is my second feature length documentary. I’m really happy to take this next step in the making of the film and to invite you, the audience, to follow me as I embark on my journey with Cleo as she rewrites the story of a transgender woman, not as a disability, not as a psychopathology, not as an inadequacy, or a phase, but as a diversity in our humanity that has for long been shrouded in darkness and misunderstood.

I hope this film can shed light on these issues and to take you on an emotionally fulfilling experience where you will get to know Cleo and through this blog and other places such as Facebook & Twitter you can follow the journey I make, where I’ll be posting photos and sharing the evolvement of the project.

Soon I will be travelling to Kampala to shoot half of the documentary, the other half takes place in Thailand as Cleo is having her surgery there. I hope you will join me on this journey.
